Tara: What's so bad about them coming here? Aren't they good guys? I mean, Watchers, that's just like whole other Gileses, right? Buffy: Yes! They're scary and horrible!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

OMG. I love the term Spock blocked. I am totally going to use it.

BTW, I also like how secure Pegg is with his masculinity. It is refreshing and endearing.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

My DH called me this morning to note that he believed there must be a Buffy fan writing for Sesame St., since there was a skit about everyone singing under a spell, complete with mustard on a shirt, that re-ran the other day.

This makes me very, very happy. However, the threat of a Grey's Anatomy musical ep. is terrifying. OTOH, perhaps there will be a scene in the cafeteria that will mention mustard.

ETA: a single letter without which the sense-making wasn't.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Some of those mall pictures look perfectly normal. What's wrong with the pic with the stripey-clad baby in the stroller?

On the other hand--oh god, the hair, my god, the hair. What is up with that?

Unflavoured oatmeal:

Nutella mug cake. Oh, my god, that sounds perfect in so many ways.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Right, people think of Big Hair as a purely eighties phenomenon, but it probably peaked (so to speak) in the early nineties.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

However, the threat of a Grey's Anatomy musical ep. is terrifying.

Is it less terrifying when you know that Sara Ramirez is a Tony award winner for a musical, and apparently doing much of the singing?

Bad singing is not what I worry about when I think that idea can go south.

I know this is a self-centered view, but I'm pretty sure it's true that the 90s didn't really start until Nevermind came out in the fall of 91. It's self-centered because I was in high school, curling my bangs and wearing tight jeans, until mid-91, and by Christmas I was in college wearing flannel with flat hair.

Oh, of course. What I've heard about the concept makes me think it could be fine.
