I think I will need to be making these tonight: [link]

Not the mousse, that's way to fussy and involved for me to bother. But the cookies, nom.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Back to grading for me.

As for paying $15 a month for NYT online, I am certainly thinking about it. We read NYT daily, especially my husband. I'm more likely to read NYT online than to read the copy of the LAT that gets delivered to the house. Really, as far as the paper copy goes, the only days I really want to peruse the paper are Thursdays (Food section) and Sundays.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, cool! I impulse bought a six-pack of not Guinness but something maybe Guinness-esque yesterday, and by the time I got it home and in the fridge I kind of despaired at how long it will take me to finish it, but if I can make dessert with it it will go faster!

When I look at the percentage of NYT articles I read, vs. the percentage I ignore, vs. the percentage that outrage me, I'm not sure it would be worth the price for me.

Somehow $15 a month seems a lot more than like, $9.99. If it were $10 a month, I might consider it. Still might not do it, but would consider. However, at $15 that's suddenly seeming like a lot of money for one news source (that I apparently can't access on my "tablet" if I get one?!)

Oh yeah? How does one do that? I might be into that--while I read the Times most of the week when I get bored, it's the Sunday paper I really enjoy.

You can choose to be a Professor or Student, but as far as I can tell they don't know whether either is correct--they are just happy to get another subscriber.

I'll have to find my recipe for Guiness Irish stew at home tonight, -t.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The email I got said that online access included the iPad app. Or maybe that was only for current paper subscribers?

Heh - yeah, there's that too.

Ooh, now I really want Beef & Guinness Pie.

Current subscribers I think get it all free. But then they had tiered pricing of $15 for online and smartphone (?), I think $20 for online and tablet, and then some other price for all. Of course, for me this raises further the question of why the hell I wouldn't just be reading "online" on my tablet, and why I need a specific "app" for the website. WTF?
