Well, two out of those gallstone points are textbook:

And there are no comfortable positions. But I don't have a fever. 98.9 Like how I used to say I never threw up, I really never get fevers. They didn't think I had appendicitis until they got the appendix out, because I was normal temperature.
The nurse hotline lady said clear liquids and heating pads until tomorrow morning.

The NRC reported to Congress today that it believes that the spent fuel pool in Unit 4 is dry. If that's the case, there almost has to have been a leak in the fuel pool container. The IAEA released some figures on the actual temperature of the spent fuel pools, which is still below boiling, but well above normal, which is more or less room temperature. As usual, I'm suffering from incomplete and contradictory reports.
The NRC also recommended that American citizens move 50 miles from the plant, rather than the 12 miles recommended by Japanese authorities. I really hope the NRC tried and failed to convince the Japanese authorities to extend their limit, because we would be extremely pissed if Japanese authorities did that when we were having an accident. Yes, the Japanese government may be understating the risk. The Japanese also may have a sense of the state of the roads and how safe it is to extend the zone. If worse comes to worse, people are better off in their homes than stuck in a giant traffic jam.

I will say, it took them forever to figure out my mother's problem was gallstones, for reasons I may or may not have known. But after the laproscopic surgery, all better!

I had my gall bladder out at 23, which was really weird. And uncomfortable, because it was just before laproscopic surgery was the norm. Nasty scar.

Ginger, I might be sending your stuff to my sister, when I get my brains back. She's kinda freaking out and watching the wrong news.
I called to whine to my mother because that's what mothers are for. She considered the gall bladder thing, and puts it in low likelihood because I don't have the primary risk factors, but on the other hand I'm her baby and I'm whimpering. So she's frustrated I can't get to a doctor before tomorrow. It's really not worth it to. Nurse hotline said to wait until it's been 24 hours. Then what? It'll be 3AM. I don't want to go to the ER for a stomachache.

Like I said, though, I was only 23. And while I did have some family history, I was also on birth control pills at the time, which the doctor thought was the likely culprit.

I have known several people to have gall bladder attacks who didn't have the traditional risk factors. Also, erratic eating can be a risk. I'm sorry, ita. The last thing you need is more pain.

Man, someone on my FB feed posted something along the lines of "OMG I just found out there are 104 nuclear plants in the US! Is anyone as scared as I am?!?"
Fortunately, before I got there, someone replied, "No. The reason you didn't hear about them until now is because NOTHING has happened there and they are safe." I just clicked "Like" on that comment and scrolled on by.

I wonder about my gallbladder from time to time, since I have IBS pain, but I'm female, and fat, and a few months shy of 40. And boy howdy, do I fart. So I wonder if it's not IBS but gallbladder. But it's never been bad enough for long enough for me to really look into it.
