That's beautiful. Or taken literally, incredibly gross.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

She considered the gall bladder thing, and puts it in low likelihood because I don't have the primary risk factors

Yeah, when my sister had her's out a nurse friend told her about the Four Fs -- Female, Fat, Forty, and Farting.

Of course, your body is, you know, wacky, ita. Who knows.

Because books.

Like I said, though, I was only 23. And while I did have some family history, I was also on birth control pills at the time, which the doctor thought was the likely culprit.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

That's fine, ita.

I have known several people to have gall bladder attacks who didn't have the traditional risk factors. Also, erratic eating can be a risk. I'm sorry, ita. The last thing you need is more pain.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Tell me to leave the nuclear discussion on Facebook alone.

Man, someone on my FB feed posted something along the lines of "OMG I just found out there are 104 nuclear plants in the US! Is anyone as scared as I am?!?"

Fortunately, before I got there, someone replied, "No. The reason you didn't hear about them until now is because NOTHING has happened there and they are safe." I just clicked "Like" on that comment and scrolled on by.

Yeah, when my sister had her's out a nurse friend told her about the Four Fs -- Female, Fat, Forty, and Farting.

I wonder about my gallbladder from time to time, since I have IBS pain, but I'm female, and fat, and a few months shy of 40. And boy howdy, do I fart. So I wonder if it's not IBS but gallbladder. But it's never been bad enough for long enough for me to really look into it.

ita, I hope you get to the bottom of this soon, and at least get some sleep tonight.

Did another bout of babysitting tonight, G drew me a picture. Her mom was amazed ("Grandparents barely rate a picture!") Apparently, they don't usually like babysitters, G cries when her mom leaves, races up to meet her when she gets home, and A acts out. They did none of this either night. G couldn't be bothered to stop playing when her mom got home.

I also used them as an excuse to pass off my tasks on the installation which ran long and would have had me there until 6, 10 hours after I got there. "Um, a friend needs an emergency babysitter so she can go check on her husband in the hospital. Can you take over for me? You so owe me, I've done the last 4!"

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, guys.

I just wish the pain weren't so implacable. On top of my (perfectly natural) aversion to vomiting. I'd really like to eat something today, but I haven't kept anything down since dinner last night. Warm water is so...Oy.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I did not have that much pain with my gall bladder problem. Rather, I didn't really notice the pain because I was nauseous as fuck. I don't puke very much at all. If I am doing that, I'm really sick. The last time I was that sick, I was 16 years old.

That said, when it got so bad that I had to have it taken out, I think I was on painkillers waiting for a diagnosis and a plan for care. I honestly don't know what the hell they put in that IV.

ita, I hope you feel better soon. Feeling nauseous is just so terrible. It is one of the worst feelings in the world to me.

Oh, I had my GB out in my 30s. I wasn't particularly farty. But I was goddess sized!

Yes, and they supply 20 percent of the electricity in this country.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I hope it lets up, ita. And if it doesn't, I hope the ER helps. I had something like that last fall and it was miserable, but a trip to the ER and a week of clear liquids pretty much took care of it.
