Angel: He is dead. Technically, he's undead. It's a zombie. Connor: What's a zombie? Angel: It's an undead thing. Connor: Like you? Angel: No, zombies are slow-moving, dimwitted things that crave human flesh. Connor: Like you. Angel: No! It's different. Trust me.

Calli: My people have a saying. A man who trusts can never be betrayed, only mistaken.Avon: Life expectancy among your people must be extremely short.

I'm just going to say that, barring specific health issues, sugar is not evil.

Too much of anything is not good, and concentrated sources make it easier to get "too much". Sugar is a concentrated carb. Added to an already high carb dish like oatmeal, it probably is too much for someone like me already fighting obesity. I'm not telling anyone else what to do, though I wonder who exactly something that unbalanced is healthy for. Mind you, every meal does not have to be pure health food. But when oatmeal with dried fruit and maple syrup is described as "healthy" I do wonder a bit. I would put it more into the "a little of what you fancy does you good" category.

Well, it could be a whole lot of smaller dogs, as well.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Phooey. Thai restaurant downstairs no longer actually serves the crispy duck on their menu, and were also out of the fish I ordered as a backup. Not that the Lad Na I ended up getting wasn't tasty, but when you have to resort to third choice you begin to wonder about the place.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I went to the movies tonight, and as I was getting popcorn, I started thinking, wouldn't it be awesome if movie theaters served patties? And all through the movie I was thinking, boy I could go for a pattie. And then leaving the theater, right in front of the subway stop, there was an empanada truck! WINNING!

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

What is this behemoth? Mastiff? Irish wolfhound?

Connie is right: It's my GSD and my sister's St. Bernard. Together they just about total 200lbs.

Although I love the idea of the Sharktopus-huahua. Betchya Reese Witherspoon can't carry one of those in her little bag!

After all, you're not under any stress.

You may have a point there.

ION, I had written & submitted a story for a fannish challenge yesterday--wrote the whole thing in about 36 hours, didn't get any beta, just sent it in, since the deadline is tomorrow.

And of course I then spent all day worrying that I'd fucked it up. And I realized that I did, in fact, fuck it up a bit, in potentially racefaily ways. So I rewrote some of it just now and sent it off to the challenge, begging them to toss the earlier version and use this.

There's a woman somewhere on the other side of the country who isn't liking me much right now...

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Tom, I was just begging my cousin to mail me a patty with coco bread. I don't suppose you're up for the challenge??

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think Owen just pulled a Nilly. DH is playing Uno with the kids at the end of the table and Owen had a 7, 6 and a 1. He looked up and said, this is a Fact Family. (factors?). He proceeded to tell me all the ways they relate in addition and subtraction.

He's already ahead of me in math.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Sadly, I'm not. Boooo.

But google suggests there at least used to be a pattie place in the nearby train station, so I will totally swing by there soon.
