It's perfectly normal to feel slightly panicky and unsettled when trying to make sense of one's new medical insurance, right?
(I swear, the only reason I would go back to being a FTE at the Big Software Company is the health coverage. In all other respects, being a vendor for them is FAR better than being a FTE. But wow, I miss their health coverage.)

My younger brother just checked in from Misawa. He's okay, so that's good, and he didn't have much else to report. Mains power is still out, cell phones are still out, and his internet connection is "spotty."
Not having health insurance for three years made me EXCITED for double foot surgery once I finally had it again.
This is disturbing but not as disturbing as being in a mosh pit with fresh new health insurance and getting kicked in the nose and thinking "Good thing I have health insurance!" before my hand even reached my face.

They're fine Perkins, thanks for asking. They are in the tsunami zone, but much of the beach is surrounded by a 30 ft cliff. Sis said the kids even went to school in the late morning when it was clear they weren't in danger.
