The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Health insurance is the main reason I have a full-time job, too. Because there's no way our household would work if both of us were freelancers, no matter how much I wish it would be possible.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Whew! Luckily software failure protected me from airing my business in front of prospective customers.

Health insurance is the main reason I have a fulltime job.

OMG, it rules all my decision making. First and foremost.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

OMG, it rules all my decision making. First and foremost.

And as things stand now, dictates where I will be working for the rest of my life.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

My younger brother just checked in from Misawa. He's okay, so that's good, and he didn't have much else to report. Mains power is still out, cell phones are still out, and his internet connection is "spotty."

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Not having health insurance for three years made me EXCITED for double foot surgery once I finally had it again.

This is disturbing but not as disturbing as being in a mosh pit with fresh new health insurance and getting kicked in the nose and thinking "Good thing I have health insurance!" before my hand even reached my face.

This should NOT be the faster reflex, people.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Happy birthday, tommyrot!

For when Burrell checks in--your family up here is far enough away from the water not to be at risk, right?

They're fine Perkins, thanks for asking. They are in the tsunami zone, but much of the beach is surrounded by a 30 ft cliff. Sis said the kids even went to school in the late morning when it was clear they weren't in danger.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

WEATHER SHIT IS FREAKING ME OUT! THE EARTH NEEDS TO CHILLL!!

ION - I helped a mom/sort-of friend do some house cleaning today. mac and her daughter have a playdate each week and her house is a disaster. messy, over crowded, AND dirty. my house is cluttered, but nothing on this one. The carpet was changing color as I vacuumed. ANd yes, I was vacuuming and she was ok with that. It jump-started me to get some stuff done today, another pile of paper in the bag to be shredded, laundry done, dishes washed, and I did my own vacuuming too.

Now I need to go finish the %^$%^ cover letter. OMG I hate this thing. I am telling myself, just get it done and use the base for all the job listings I find from now on.

The main reason I need to get a full-time job right now is health insurance. Even a shitty paying job that has full-employer paid insurance will save me over $800 a month. That covers afterschool childcare, mortgage payment, and all utilities.
