All right, yes, date and shop and hang out and go to school and save the world from unspeakable demons. You know, I wanna do girlie stuff!

not your mom's socks.

Poor Dita. Sarameg, thanks for posting that. We saw the falls jump its banks years ago, it was a total mess. I used to swim up there.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

My old, dead skittish cat, Solomon, and my coward of today, Gimlet, were both well able to squeeze their bulk under my futon frame in about 1.5 seconds.

There was maybe 4 inches of room there and they would commando-crawl all the way to the back.

If I were ever Queen of the Universe, one of my tyrannical mandates would be eyebrow grooming for everyone. You can fuck or marry whomever you like, rule your own body, worship the living Avatar of Wjjklmjnbjy in a flagellary speaking Na'avi, but you will go to jail of your eyebrow hairs are long than 1/2 an inch.

Oh, and long ear and nose hair. I have a few simple rules for my world, but they will be absolute.

Also, all citizens will be require to pay me 1 cent a year, so I can have a nice bathtub and a hot tub and I get ARC's of all books the day they are available. Other than that, I will be a kindly ruler. Unless you piss me off.

Actually, for all my faults, I can think of worse people to give god-like powers to. OTOH, now that I've thought that, that immediately takes me to Defcon 2 of Evil Overlordship.

Le sigh. My dreams of demonic dictatorly dominion are dashed.

But I retain my ability to teach alliteration.

At Meadowbrook? I've bought suits there and envy all their lanes, but not the cost. Happy with my Y for that. Though I'd love to try the 100 yd pool at Druid this summer. Just to get some color and see what it is like swimming outdoors.

I need to call the vet tomorrow, if they are open (they are at the crazy intersection on Kelly going into Mt Washington. The online autorefill program for food they are using is out of Devi food for 10 days. And I am out of Devi food. I need to see if they have spares. Ahrg.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

She recovered fairly quickly, at least.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Hec, that link is AWESOME!

Cool beans, huh? I took Emmett to see roller derby at Kezar Stadium (which is basically across the street from us, and where the Bay City Bombers skated for years) when he was 2. We got to see Anne Calvello skate! And she was like in her sixties!

Because books.

There's a lot of flooding around here, and I bet in Bucks Co. up by the Delaware it's pretty bad, too. It's been pissing down rain all. goddamn. day.

Perkins, was she stuck for a minute? Or just freaked out?

not your mom's socks.

At Meadowbrook?
Ya. Agree about the cost.

Oh that's a gray bike shop there - hope they are ok!

The last flood we were in was Isabel. Can't say I miss it.
