Coughing so hard you throw up is totally a sign you need to go to a doctor.
So is a diagnosis of concrete in the lungs, which is how I initially interpreted "concrete dx".
Onerous Task for the Day: Not completed. Not even begun. Ah, the giddy freedom of not caring any more!!
I managed an average lap speed of just under 55s. For 48 laps. WOOOHOO.
I'll see your WOOOHOO and raise you a FUCKYEAHSWIM!
Shrift, that sounds alarmingly like what Aims had. And she ended up with a concrete dx for something yucky iirc.
Ah, crap. I remember something about whooping cough? Was that it, or was it something else?
That was it. Which was totally horrible. Get thee to the doctor, ASAP!!
Hi, Aims!
So is a diagnosis of concrete in the lungs, which is how I initially interpreted "concrete dx".
This totally made me laugh out loud. So, thank you for that.
Hi javachik! How are you?
I am good, especially since I get to go meet Consuela for dinner and drinks despite my sin today (lying).
ETA: Today's sin reminded me why I so extremely rarely lie (I mean, on top of it just being wrong most of the time). Well, and, other than I am terrible at it. I don't lie because it usually comes BACK TO BITE ME IN THE ARSE.
SINNER!
I also sinned today. I thought mean thoughts about a student of mine. Right after she kicked me and hit me with her chair.
Speaking of sinning, I still haven't decided what I'm giving up for Lent. My upcoming trip makes a lot of things not really feasible or enough of a sacrifice.
ETA: Aims, I admire your restraint.
I also sinned today. I thought mean thoughts about a student of mine. Right after she kicked me and hit me with her chair.
Oh, honey. I am going to hell, because I have one student who I constantly want to punch in the nuts. He is just an utter PITA. In a mean way, not a normal teenage boy way. And it's not just me.
I would not DO it. But I THINK it.
I thought mean thoughts about a student of mine. Right after she kicked me and hit me with her chair.
Only thoughts? Then I think you're closer to a saint than a sinner.
I'm back from smonster's Mardi Gras fundraiser. It's still going strong (actually, I think it was revving up as I was getting ready to leave), but 3 hours of extrovert time is my limit. I listened to nice music and drank yummy booze, and I got to give beads to lots of people. I played chess with a cute young fella and ate jambalaya. We all watched a recording of smonster's interview (she was fabulous, as expected) and played "Bead the Bieber". There was a life-size (ish) cardboard Justin Bieber stature, tons of beads, and booze. The inevitable inev-ed.
