But I understand. You gave up everything you had to find me. And you found me broken. It's hard for you.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

SINNER!

I also sinned today. I thought mean thoughts about a student of mine. Right after she kicked me and hit me with her chair.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Speaking of sinning, I still haven't decided what I'm giving up for Lent. My upcoming trip makes a lot of things not really feasible or enough of a sacrifice.

ETA: Aims, I admire your restraint.

Oh, honey. I am going to hell, because I have one student who I constantly want to punch in the nuts. He is just an utter PITA. In a mean way, not a normal teenage boy way. And it's not just me.

I would not DO it. But I THINK it.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I thought mean thoughts about a student of mine. Right after she kicked me and hit me with her chair.

Only thoughts? Then I think you're closer to a saint than a sinner.

I'm back from smonster's Mardi Gras fundraiser. It's still going strong (actually, I think it was revving up as I was getting ready to leave), but 3 hours of extrovert time is my limit. I listened to nice music and drank yummy booze, and I got to give beads to lots of people. I played chess with a cute young fella and ate jambalaya. We all watched a recording of smonster's interview (she was fabulous, as expected) and played "Bead the Bieber". There was a life-size (ish) cardboard Justin Bieber stature, tons of beads, and booze. The inevitable inev-ed.

I was just at the doctor on Thursday, I swear! I think this is just a terrible cold, but if I have any trouble breathing, develop bruising, or boot again, I'll make a doctor's appointment ASAP.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

If you boot and *especially* if you are coughing hard enough you get bruising (spotty usually, or burst blood vessels in your eye) please see a doctor again. But I've had really bad coughs too.

It's not always lupus pertussis.

Just sometimes it is and that shit is srs bsns. I still miss my old lung function. It wasn't stellar but it was better than now.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

javachick, so very glad you are getting to enjoy dinner out and a stiff drunk. and booyah for well-deserved raises and/or bonuses.

i've wanted to mentally injure a lot of people today. perhaps for my own sanity i should stop picking up overtime...the pay is so tempting but 12 or 14 hr days sure do cut into my sleeping/exercising time. I even cancelled yoga class tonight (boo!) but for 2 hrs of time and a half pay (yay!) and i guess i can do some extra time on the elliptical when i finally wrap up...but i'm hungry and cranky and want to go home and check on my furry boy (who has been doing fine the last couple of days. eating, eliminating, acting like a cat). Cardio will make me feel better....but so will snuggling with my furry baby. Oh, the tough choices in my first world life!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I think I need to get a restaurant gift cert for the couple who has been schlepping me to work and will be catsitting in April. They have made my life so much easier. Hrm ,gotta find a reasonable but nice place. They like good food.

SQUEE one of my rough drafts is from one of my seniors, and he is doing an AWESOME compare/contrast paper of Beowulf and Batman, The geekiness is SHINING through; it's supposed to be 2 1/2 to 3 pages, and it is 5. And it is really damned good.

They have been working on it in class, and he has been shagging ass; it's all him.

This SO makes up for the one kid I want to punch in the nuts!
