We're not gonna die. We can't die, Bendis. You know why? Because we are so very pretty. We are just too pretty for God to let us die.

Punishingly Intricate

I've only been once, to the north when I was a teenager and Bob's never been. I'm already a little sad we can't go for longer and see more (like my family in Cork) but we have an awesome trip planned! We are doing a bike tour of Connemara and the Aran Islands. Plus a few days in Dublin. !!!

Our wings are not tired.

JZ, Sunday should be fine! You don't need to do any of my housework, but you can bring a load of your laundry to do! And be sure to bring some shoes you won't mind getting muddy if you want to pick lemons!

lisa, ha, that's the opposite of me! I spent ALL of my time in the southwest part of the country and didn't even visit Dublin. I loved loved loved just driving around the coast endlessly visiting the tiny towns and drinking lots of pulled Murphys.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

That trip is going to be amazing, lisah! I loved my trip to Ireland. Make sure you budget to buy some gorgeous handmade sweaters on the cheap.

java, as JZ notes, we'd be happy to help out with stuff around her house and just visit. No need to entertain. We could feed you!

I drove around the entire south and then western coast of Ireland, from Baltimore (the southernmost port in Ireland) to Dingle.

And pottery!

Tempting! I learned when Sox was here that I very much like other people to use my kitchen to make me things to eat.

Ha. Mine was from Cork to Killearney (I drove the Dingle but stayed afterward in Killearney), so a bit more than you but the same damned idea. God it was great. The only awful thing about that trip was that my (film) camera was stolen on the very last day of my trip. So I don't have even one photo.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

Give me strength. I'm working with a person who has been here since November, and I don't think she knows what she's doing at all. Aside from all the questions about things that have been basic job functions since she started. She does random shit like, picking herself which movies we're going to call exclusive, basically closing out a ticket 2 releases early.

I just don't even...

we liked that too!

Jealous! We had a wonderful time a few years ago. Are you going out to Wicklow, just outside of Dublin? There's a beautiful estate there. We also got to visit the lovely Jars and her DH in Cork! And walking James Joyce in Dublin was one of my favorite things (passages from Ulysses are bronzed into the streets) ever.

Ok hushing now.
