I loved loved loved just driving around the coast endlessly visiting the tiny towns and drinking lots of pulled Murphys.
I drove around the entire south and then western coast of Ireland, from Baltimore (the southernmost port in Ireland) to Dingle.

Make sure you budget to buy some gorgeous handmade sweaters on the cheap.
And pottery!
We could feed you!
Tempting! I learned when Sox was here that I very much like other people to use my kitchen to make me things to eat.

Ha. Mine was from Cork to Killearney (I drove the Dingle but stayed afterward in Killearney), so a bit more than you but the same damned idea. God it was great. The only awful thing about that trip was that my (film) camera was stolen on the very last day of my trip. So I don't have even one photo.
Everybody is getting a tin whistle and no complaining!
Give me strength. I'm working with a person who has been here since November, and I don't think she knows what she's doing at all. Aside from all the questions about things that have been basic job functions since she started. She does random shit like, picking herself which movies we're going to call exclusive, basically closing out a ticket 2 releases early.
I just don't even...
Smokey cube mate is really smokey today. Blech.

we liked that too!
We are doing a bike tour of Connemara and the Aran Islands. Plus a few days in Dublin. !!!
Jealous! We had a wonderful time a few years ago. Are you going out to Wicklow, just outside of Dublin? There's a beautiful estate there. We also got to visit the lovely Jars and her DH in Cork! And walking James Joyce in Dublin was one of my favorite things (passages from Ulysses are bronzed into the streets) ever.
Ok hushing now.
For my 30th birthday, my BFF and I rented a car and drove a big U from Shannon to Dublin around the southern part of Ireland for 10 days. Awesome.
The DBA wants to roll out his changes at 7am. The code deployment people want to roll out their changes at midnight. I want some time to go to the ER. Without, you know, telling anyone I need time to go to the ER. Is that too much to ask?
Vortex, what a great way to mark turning 30!!
Yeah, I really want to do that Joyce walk, Sox. I didn't do Dublin on that trip because I was very broke and could get a lot more for my money staying in little B&Bs and wandering.
