Spike: Heard what happened up top, offing your dad and all. Don't know if you know this, but, uh…I killed my mum. Actually, I'd already killed her, and then she tried to shag me, so I had to-- Wesley: Thank you. I'm…very comforted.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

One of the benefits of working for myself is that I don't have to go through them.

You can just look in the mirror and say, "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, clients hire me!"

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Good-review~ma to brenda and megan.

Onerous tasks: Job application; make appt with financial counselor; more query letters to reviewers for Sam; query letter to a PR professional about her rates; ... er, I think that's it. I don't think I can add much more and still be able to do my actual job-type job.

msbelle - no worries on a note. I LOVE the polish and can't wait to get home from work to play.

Yes, I'm in the office!! And, of course, no one else is. There are 5 offices in my immediate area - all empty but me. Extend that out a bit and there are another 4 offices and only 2 of those are occupied. On top of everything else, this is why I tend not to come into the office.

Punishingly Intricate

My onerous task is calling a local business and asking for a donation. I'm usually fine on the phone but this is kind of scary!

Made the call I needed to make! And he asked me to email him stuff and I have a ton of stuff to email. Hope it's not going into a black hole!

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Onerous tasks: Job application;

I thought your new job was awesome. Is it awesome but the salary is not? For whatever reason, good luck!

I have no onerous tasks today beyond digging out from under the pile of editing that amassed while I did everyone else's jobs last week when they were out. But piles of editing are so par for the course around here that they're not onerous in the way that one needs a special day for them; were that so, EVERY day would be Onerous Editing Day round these parts.

Oh! I got up early to go get paczki for my co-workers. That counts as onerous in my book.

Good news/bad news. A cube mate came in, so I'm not alone. He is a smoker and stinks of it.

Hopefully, if I go home, the car wash vacuums are done vacuuming out the big tanks.

Hey, you, get offa my lawn.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is it awesome but the salary is not?

Correct. Plus the job she's applying for has an editing element, which she now has better qualifications for.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

One semi-onerous call down.
