Buffy. When I saw you stop the world from, you know, ending, I just assumed that was a big week for you. Turns out I suddenly find myself needing to know the plural of 'apocalypse.'

Punishingly Intricate

Made the call I needed to make! And he asked me to email him stuff and I have a ton of stuff to email. Hope it's not going into a black hole!

Onerous tasks: Job application;

I thought your new job was awesome. Is it awesome but the salary is not? For whatever reason, good luck!

I have no onerous tasks today beyond digging out from under the pile of editing that amassed while I did everyone else's jobs last week when they were out. But piles of editing are so par for the course around here that they're not onerous in the way that one needs a special day for them; were that so, EVERY day would be Onerous Editing Day round these parts.

Oh! I got up early to go get paczki for my co-workers. That counts as onerous in my book.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Good news/bad news. A cube mate came in, so I'm not alone. He is a smoker and stinks of it.

Hopefully, if I go home, the car wash vacuums are done vacuuming out the big tanks.

Hey, you, get offa my lawn.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Is it awesome but the salary is not?

Correct. Plus the job she's applying for has an editing element, which she now has better qualifications for.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

One semi-onerous call down.

You know what's onerous? The first week in August, which has NO summer camps available. Not the county, not private, not even the YMCA. School starts August 8, not August 1, and not everyone wants to take that week off, summer camp people!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I didn't realize they had muffaletta until I had already committed to the jambalaya! It's a good thing the guy told me it was spicy, because I would have put hot sauce on before tasting it, and it is SPICY.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Font people: Is Bleeding Cowboy cliche for a title font?

Nope. What's funny is that I looked at it, thgouht "that style looks familiar", went to dafont.com, and yup. I've downloaded 2 fonts from that designer already.

Onerous task today: cleaning this bloody house.

Man, now I want jambalaya and mufaletta and king cake and polish doughnuts!

Instead I am frantically rearranging my whole week for the SECOND TIME, because someone in the corporate office is SMOKING CRACK. And it means I have a friend who is coming in Thursday night, and I'm going to be all "Sorry! I gotta go, flight at 6:45AM tomorrow! Won't be home til after time to have any fun Friday night!" ARGH.

(ETA: Plus I'm on hold trying to get the travel agency and I hate being on hold)
