The people taking fish oil know that you need to stop taking it for a few weeks if you are going to be having surgery, or otherwise expect to be bleeding, because it prevents clotting, right?
(Which makes it good to take if you are planning on having a stroke)
The people taking fish oil know that you need to stop taking it for a few weeks if you are going to be having surgery, or otherwise expect to be bleeding, because it prevents clotting, right?
Do you mean even monthly bleeding there? Because that would be an issue.
I don't think so, since clotting's not really an issue there.
This summer I was at a party with a bunch of old friends and was commiserating with my friend Mike who was saying he had finally resigned himself to the fact that he was destined to be a lifelong bachelor.
I'm going to his engagement party tonight.
It's amazing how powerful letting go really is. Truly the key to success. The thought replacement phrase I give my clients is: Whatever you can't let me okay IS what is standing in your way.
Speaking of success, Yay Kathy! It sounds like you had a wonderful evening in an increasingly great life. Good on ya!!
I am officially resigning myself to the fact that I am destined to be a lifelong single mom.
Ok, universe. Get to work.
::sits expectantly waiting for Suzi's champion to show up::
It could happen!
the coolest movie in the world, but he won't tell me what it is
I want to know too!
Right now my number one contender is
Funeral Parade of Roses
which has these cool virtues:
1) Not readily available and very few people have seen it. Since cool is, by definition, rare then scarcity increases its cool quotient. Also, you have to know what you're looking for and know where to find it. Inside knowledge is cool and so is competence.
2) It's Stanley Kubrick's favorite movie. And he knows a lot more about movies than me.
3) Cool film technique: Godardian breaking the fourth wall mixed with Resnais-like creamy, seductive imagery. But with an original late sixties pop art approach which is unique.
4) Cool story: Oedipus Rex told with Japanese drag queens.
However, I will not be showing this to Matilda this morning.
So, I'm curious to hear everybody else's nominees for The Coolest Movie In the World.
I was already planning to have oatmeal tomorrow for breakfast, btw, that is not a result of the current conversation.
The Coolest Movie In the World.
My brain just exploded in the effort.
I'm so devoid of cool, I couldn't possibly contribute.
Oh, wait, I could add the coolest documentary, which features someone who knows way more than I ever could about movies, talking about cool movies.
A personal journey through American movies with Martin Scorcese.
I have had my morning oatmeal, some cottage cheese, and my trusty fish oil capsules. In the interest of complete transparency, I also had a handful of Girl Scout cookies. The new Shout Outs are num. They have a nice, buttery-spice flavor to them.
In other news, I have sorted through most of my crafting stash this morning. Oy. I may never need to go yarn shopping again.
