We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Hookers and blow!

Oh, wait, no. I'm visiting with my mom so my dad can go hiking, and ushering at a play tomorrow night. And Sunday I will go running.

Somewhere in there I have to do some writing. Oh, the joys of being back at work: all of a sudden I have no time again. But at least I'm earning money again.

People don't make actual "pound" cake anymore do they?

I do. Well, I make the Indiana Pound Cake that Betsy gave me the recipe for. It's not a full pound of somethings, but it's pretty rich. Very yummy.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

(did I mention that I volunteered to be Vacation Bible Director at our church?)

Hee, crazy lady, that is a lot of work!

Weekend: I already did it, ballet! It was the BYU troupe, pretty decent with some weaknesses in the corps. But lots of fun. And they pitched it as a fairytale thing to little girls, with a princess party beforehand where you could meet the dancers and get your picture taken in your princess (or prince, equal opportunity) regalia with the dancers. So there were umpteenmillion little disney themed kiddoes running amok, and during intermission they called them all up on stage where they got to dance with the dancers. So cute! The dancer would twirl around and the littlings would twirl, then the dancer would jump and the littlings would jump. Yay, lifelong love of dance being born!

So it was fun. But that was all. There's a symphony concert tomorrow night, but I think I blew my entertainment wad going to the (admittedly very cheap) dance tonight.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

And with horse tranqs, gigolos are totally superfluous. Unless you hire them to drag your unconscious butt to the couch.

How about some E and a two hour long stereo massage on the beach (of your hotel, which has a balcony, Blue Mountain coffee and a plasma screen) followed by slounging in a hot tub with access to an unlimited Kindle account, on a prototype waterproof Kindle, while a team of maids deep cleans your house?

That's the kind of vice I could get behind.

Wait...where's the butt buffing?

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

as well as trying to figure out what else I'm going to have to give up to get my cholesterol down.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I even gave up the half n half in my coffee for soy creamer.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

For all my other blood related issues, I was happy that the last full panel showed that my cholesterol is fine. Next test will be in early April. I am crossing my fingers that my iron and B12 will be back in the normal ranges.

I suppose I could toss in a salt glow and a Vichy shower before the hot tub...

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Erin, the Contra Costa County Library System is hiring. They'll also have a library specialist position available soon. I don't know what sort of job your sister is looking for, exactly.
