And I myself will be wearing pink taffeta as chenille would not go with my complexion.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

So, Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller are going to alternate playing Dr. Frankenstein and the monster on stage in London?? [link] Nice.

oooh!

Hey, it's Friday! What are people doing for Halloween?

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I wasn't there myself, but I am sure the upshot was that there are Very Few Actual Bagel Flavors, such as: plain, egg, sesame, onion, garlic, poppyseed, salt, and everything.

We all wandered in at separate times and as each one of us sat down with the other Buffistas who were there, we'd bite into our sad little midwestern faux-bagel, and every single one of us said "Hey, that's not a bagel!" Every. Single. Time. Which was hilarious to the non-NYCistas there, and terribly sad for us New Yorkers who hadn't even had our damn coffee yet.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Hey, it's Friday? What are people doing for Halloween?

Going to a costume party! For the first time in possibly ever.

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Which was hilarious to the non-NYCistas there

It really was.

blessedly nothing tonight or tomorrow. Maybe can get some of this damn house clean.

Sunday is church and then another trunk or treat for mac, then staying home and seeing if we get any treaters. I have Halloween pencils and superhero gum.

call me jacki; zuisa is an internet nick from ancient times =)

Consider me educated on what constitutes a real bagel! I had no idea!

I don't really have any plans. Today is my brother's 21st birthday, and I am concerting all my efforts trying to convince him that, really, when it is Friday night *and* your 21st birthday, there is absolutely no need to be doing any sort of studying tonight.

His friends want to take him for dinner and bowling and he's trying to tell me he's too busy. Is not!!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Now I want a bagel. And I sure as hell can`t actually get one here in Arizona. I remain embittered that no one did the bagel challenge that one year on TAR.

I am doing jack all for Halloween, not even handing out candy. Boo. I was supposed to play for church this Saturday and I was trying to convince the band leader to let us all dress up, but no. And then the schedule got jacked around, so I won`t even be going to church, since the SO will be going straight from the store to rehearsal.

And we were supposed to go camping this weekend, but I don`t think that`s actually happening.

Punishingly Intricate

Hey, it's Friday? What are people doing for Halloween?

Grown up hween party tonight for which I STILL don't have a costume. Should I just wrap myself in the Canadian flag and be a "Sexy Canadian"??? EH??? I'm panicking here.

Saturday is down to the rally in DC and, possibly, lantern parade in evening.

Sunday is kid hween party. Will "Sexy Canadian" work for kids?? Will they even get it?

sigh

A friend of Bob's is coming into town for the rally otherwise, honestly, I think we'd be skipping it. We have WAY too much wedding prep stuff to do. It's kind of stressful.

hip deep in pie

I have been invited to a party on Saturday, but I don't have a costume, and am not a big fan of dressing up, so I am on the fence. The party is also at the house of someone I do not know...there are four people co-hosting it and I am friends with one of them. But I always have a good time at her parties, even when I really don't know anyone. On the fence I remain.

Otherwise, my plans are to sleep in. Try to find some alium bulbs. Plant garlic.
