Wait, what's the trick? I want to know the trick, please.

At Liese's suggestion, I add one can of flat water to concentrate, and then just before drinking top up half a glass of juice mix with half a glass of fizzy water. Instant juice soda. Num.
Oooh, good trick. I will try that.
I'm going through juice flavours. Langer's pineapple is really tasty. The Welch's white grape juice and peach is also pretty tasty. And then there's just diluting normal juice that way. I don't like juice at full strength so it might as well be fizzy,
Liese, THANK YOU for the Sodastream juice concentrate trick.
You are welcome! It's my favorite way to drink juice! It's the SO's trick, actually, but I use it way more than him. I like it with the range of Hawaii's Own juice concentrates: pineapple starfruit, guava strawberry. Those end up kinda generically sweet, but I grew up drinking them, so love.
I like reconstituting juices that are 100% juice when reconstituted, because that's just funny to me for it to be all juice, but all fizz. It's a hundred percent awesome is what.
And yeah, much healthier than pop, relatively cheap, and a good way for me to be getting fruits. I know I'm supposed to be getting it not as fruit juice, but since I'm otherwise not getting much of it at all, I'm counting it as a win.
I need to order some more fizz, though.
msbelle, re: reflux.
Prilosec is a good option as is prevacid. Both are pricey OTC, but they both work. Reflux meds basically change the acidity of what's refluxing, but it doesn't stop the reflux itself. It just saves your esophogus.
As said upthread, probiotics actually deal with the root cause of reflux, which is often motility related. Grace had reflux and we stopped omeprezole cold turkey. But we started her on kefir which has more probiotic goodness than yogurt. Plus TJs has a pomegranate kefir that is delicious. You can also make your own kefir.
Another trick that the whole foodies with tubies use for reflux (which is common in tube fed folks) is a tablespoon of unfiltered apple cider vinegar. For a tubie it's just dumped in, but for oral feeders, they usually take it with a cup of water. The ACV increased motility and actually helps the acid in the tummy digest food which helps any gastric emptying issue that might cause reflux. When Grace seems to have motility issues, we give her ACV and it helps.
Mea culpa from a Wisconsin state employee (and also an old friend of mine) for causing this whole mess.
That is hilarious. I especially like the prison guard who lowered the tax rate on the rich through eldritch sorcery in an attempt to get a sitter for her kids.
I am finally back at work, and my DH is home with K. I think he's planning on running her around the aquarium this morning to make sure she goes down for a nap because this afternoon he's got an interview with NPR.
Meanwhile, I don't even know where to start with the things that have piled up.
Another lousy night thanks to GI troubles.
That Mazda thing... reads like an Onion article. Also, checking the date for April 1st datage. It's still too early, really.
