I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Mea culpa from a Wisconsin state employee (and also an old friend of mine) for causing this whole mess.

That is hilarious. I especially like the prison guard who lowered the tax rate on the rich through eldritch sorcery in an attempt to get a sitter for her kids.

Librarian Warlord

I am finally back at work, and my DH is home with K. I think he's planning on running her around the aquarium this morning to make sure she goes down for a nap because this afternoon he's got an interview with NPR.

Meanwhile, I don't even know where to start with the things that have piled up.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Another lousy night thanks to GI troubles.

That Mazda thing... reads like an Onion article. Also, checking the date for April 1st datage. It's still too early, really.

Punishingly Intricate

I just started to do my taxes with TurboTax and threw the paperwork across the room. Maybe it is worth a couple hundred.

So worth it to me. Maybe if I wasn't getting a refund I'd sing another song but it is so worth it to hand over my paperwork and have tax guy figure it all out. Especially this year when it was so much more complicated and trying to figure out our taxes together would have possibly led to Tears and Recriminations.

I was at work super early for me (before 830) because I came in straight from taking Bob to the train station. I feel I should get some sort of a medal! Not that I've done a ton of actual work yet.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I paid off my mortgage this morning. eep.
