Sara, I'm fb friends with a few of the teen fencers, and it's very much the same kind of vibe. It's a little weird being the only adult in the room sometimes, but role model without authority isn't a bad thing to be.

While I have a Mountain of Crazy in my mother, she was balanced by the Grand Canyon of Awesomeness that was my dad. You gotta take the bad with the good, is how I like to think about it.

msbelle, I'll be sending you my love and support all day. The liquid diet day is not fun. Prep day is worse than test day, but I think you already knew that. My advice is to drink lots and lots of Gatorade. The extra electrolytes make a big difference after a while, especially the next morning.
