"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Was happy to see the Thai place downstairs was hopping last night - the busiest I've ever seen it. I think they're benefiting from the long lines to get seated at the new steakhouse three doors down. Some folks got huffy and loudly canceled their order after a too-long wait; which, I can see their point, but if you're in a full restaurant with only one waitress in evidence, perhaps it should occur to you before you order that your food may take a while. (I almost turned around at the door myself, but saw empty seats at the bar and figured I was in no hurry. Being full of delicious crispy red snapper an hour later told me I made the right call.)

Neat, zuisa! I remember the first time I saw a whale in the wild, in Puerto Rico. There's this moment of WHOANOREALLY?!

Had a bit of a themed dinner tonight: spinach empanada, posole I forgot I had in the freezer and a slice of green chile chees bread from the market. And I just realized, that's all I've eaten all day. Hrm.

Got a new cat-litter rug at IKEA and picked up some hard to find face lotion at Ulta.

Was so nice out today, I have a couple windows cracked.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Criminal minds: I do not like the new blonde. She's not JJ, and never will be.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I never thought she was supposed to be, though. So I don't hold it against her.

I just discovered another notable alumnus of McGill. One of the guys that played improv keyboards for On The Spot (one of the improv troupes I belonged to) is a Grammy-nominated musician going by the name of Chilly Gonzales. I had no idea about the Grammy, because I had no idea about the name change. He's not on the McGill prominent student page. I must add him too.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Is there a watch and post for the red carpet somewhere?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You're soaking in it.

OK, why is Kate Blanchett wearing a dress that looks like it's decorated with some sort of skin condition?
