Lorne: Snakes? Uh-huh. And they came out of your what? Okay. Okay, well, did they get up there themselves or is this part of a, you know, a thing? No, I'm not judging...Do we fight snakes? Angel: Only if they're giant. Or demons. Or giant demons. Are they giant demon snakes? Lorne: Well, unless this guy's 30 feet tall, I'm thinking they're of the garden variety.

Compassionately intolerant

And good thing my trash cans are tied up; as it is, they're knocked over and the lids off.

o-m-g. I've been so focused on Bartleby's health this week, that I did not hear any warnings about Windmaggedon. When we woke up from a nap this evening, I looked out and my wheelie bins were both in the middle of the street (a very busy intersection), having been tossed roughly 20 feet.

CRAZY.

Fuck. Lost power at work again. I have to go get my laptop and salvage things. GIVE ME A UPS DAMNIT.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

I am posting from a Barnes & Noble, on Gary's laptop. I got home from work to find out that our townhouse had no power.(In fact, the whole street is without power.)

Therefore, I have been unable to do any onerous tasks.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Is there snow in SF yet? I just got hailed on.

Punishingly Intricate

ARGH! I finally got around to watching the 2nd ep of Downton Abbey and the video cuts off halfway through! This is what happened with the first episode. GAH! bugger. It's on netflix streaming but I don't really have a good device to watch it on.

wah wah wah

But at least my roof did not blow off today.

Yeah, at least I have a roof. And my officemate saw me in my inside pants, which are black and covered in cathair. And I have the laptop at home. This time, it took out a different set of systems, the ones that'll make a bigger mess. I so don't want to deal with this. I'm drinking and working.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

No, it's quite cold though. But it's been bright and sunny all day. But this is actually good because it means the precipitation will hit at night when it's the coldest, so we could wake up to some snow.

lisah, it's also streaming on PBS, or it was lately.

So I actually have the signed letter offering me my job back (well, through an intermediary). I start on Tuesday, as I expected. What a relief.
