We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

lisah, it's also streaming on PBS, or it was lately.

So I actually have the signed letter offering me my job back (well, through an intermediary). I start on Tuesday, as I expected. What a relief.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm so glad it's been resolved, Consuela.

Punishingly Intricate

it's also streaming on PBS, or it was lately.

I think it's not there any more. They are only showing full eps of the latest series there.

That is a relief about your job! sheesh, what a fiasco!

I'm working and drinking too. Just doing some straight up tech writing I couldn't bring myself to do today but that needs to be done v. soon. And I'm watching Say Yes to the Dress. And thanking my lucky stars again that I had the dress experience I had for my wedding!

Your dress was awesome.

Glad you are soon to be employed, Suela.

I'm flying a little blind with this maybe-restart. It's me and a fairly new person, so I have to be the experienced one, except I am NOT for her part of the system. And usually we do this between 4 of us in constant contact. And my cohort is making noises about going to bed. Greaaat.

Hookers and Blow! I've missed you all!

My onerous task today was waking up, going to work, teaching, staying there for afterschool tutoring, grading essays.

In other words, life was onerous today.

Consuela - YAY - glad things are moving along again.

Talked with my doc today about the Abilify (as I was getting a B12 shot). She showed me where there is a 2 week free trial offer and also gave me a brochure that has a card for a free month and $25/month after that. I have my 2 free weeks worth and will go from there.

Also heard back from my Senator about our trip to DC. We get to tour the White House along with a bunch of other cool tours!!! So excited.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Suzi, I think you might like Abilify. It's worked really well for me.

ION, I spent the morning rummaging in my uncle's warehouse o' books. I always have mixed feelings about that place-- on the one hand, yay books! On the other, many of the books are headed for the recycler, and that is no good, because I cannot rescue them all. But it looks like I will at least be able to save the vintage books by selling them at flea markets. So that's something.
