All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I'm setting up Words now. I'm g_aurelia.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

What's everybody's plan to be non-sedentary today?

This evening I plan to go to the gym. When I went Monday I did half an hour on the bike, 15 minutes of weights and situps, and another 15 minutes fast walking on the treadmill. The time before that (last Saturday) I put in half an hour on the treadmill and called it a day. I'm hoping tonight will be more like Monday.

Now tagless for your comfort.

We're going to the Y after picking up Owen. I need to do some core work.

Owen may be a natural DJ. The cub scouts went on a tour of our local college radio station and he ad libbed some great bits!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I`m so excited about your breakfront! I am getting much vicarious satisfaction from your organization. Since I started organizing and then was promptly waylaid by the Ick, my house is in a state of disarray. But I am making progress today, which is good since we have a house concert on Sunday.

Is Onerous Task Day Friday? That will work out well for me. It`s having a good effect on my habits overall, because on those days I tend to start a task and then think "I don`t wanna" but then go on to do it because it`s onerous. Now during normal days, I think "I don`t wanna" but then I recognize the thought for what it is, and do the task anyway, instead of conceding to the lethargy. So for example, today I put away the laundry, the day after I laundered, including The Socks. And now I`m going to go haul wood for my non-sedentary task.

Oh, and I observed Banana Bread Day. I made wheat banana bread with macadamia nuts. Much nom.

I'm going to the gym after work, do my set of leg and hip exercises. I think I'm seeing improvement, it no longer hurts to cock my hip and pull my leg up to put on my socks. Tomorrow night I think I shall go into the pool.

While reading some stuff about the various protests in Wisconsin, I flashed back to a Doonesbury series from the early '80s/late '70s ( I think) about the truckers' protests. Mike Slackmeyer falls in with some truckers planning a protest and reveals his radical past, and the truckers ask him for pointers on how to run an effective protest. He telegrams back to Walden Pond to ask for his armband and gas mask to be sent to him, saying "The revolution lives!".

And I can't help thinking if there are grey-haired people in some of these back rooms giving lectures--or podcasts!--on how to handle yourself when the police are moving in or on the best way to get tear gas out of your clothes.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I love that this site gets snarky if you get recursive with it.

So it's not a meltdown; we are at the er. I would think she broke her hip except she hasn't fallen and barely walks. What fun

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Oh, dear, suela. ~ma for something that can be treated and resolved easily.
