Because books.

That's a great idea, aurelia.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'll be doing what I was doing yesterday: lifting boxes down from their stacks, opening them, lifting objects from within, unwrapping all the paper and bubble wrap, placing object on shelf, stretching inside the cabinet to achieve desired placement, holding stretched position for several seconds while precise placement is made, and doing reps to adjust placement as more objects are added. Lifting, bending, holding (light) weights at arms' length, maintaining stretch pose, relaxing, repeating sequence.

You guys, you guys! H's dragon collection, the individual antique and vintage wine glasses he's collected one at a time over years, and the pysanky (Ukrainian wax-painted Easter eggs) he's crafted over decades are all displayed in the lighted, mirrored section of the breakfront! It looks so fabulous I can't tell you. The breakfront has always been an impressive piece, but it was built before electricity, and before mirrored interiors were customary, so it never had either. Now, though?

The light is an LED fixture so it costs little to run and generates very little heat. But he has been saying all along, "There's no need to keep it on except for visitors or occasions..." Hee! You can see it when you come in from the living room, or from the back door, and he can see it from his chair in the living room. The light only got turned off yesterday when we went to bed. And it was on when I got up this morning. Picture soon, I promise.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

What's everybody's plan to be non-sedentary today?

I walked to Staples to return 2 pairs of shoes to Zappos! And later I'll bike over to Dylan's daycare to pick him up. (I may even bike the long way around the park on the way home, if it's not too cold.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

You're just looking for someone to play with who won't lose all the time the way I do, aren't you?

I'm pretty sure I would lose all the time to any of you, but I'm tskared on Word with Friends.

Eta: the Borg are here! And they are efficient. I think the old fence is already gone.

Punishingly Intricate

Ugh am lazy today. Am going to walk to bookclub but that's only like a 1/4 mile if that. I will get up and go to yoga early tomorrow morning.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I did some sit-ups and push-ups a little while ago. I really should do Pilates, but somehow the simpler exercises seem less onerous. At some point today I'll walk to the bank to find a notary and then walk to the post office. Later I may do a little tricep work with hand weights while I watch TV.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am having a burst of Words brain. I don't expect it will last.

Adding you, -t.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

ION, pasta pizza is very nummy!

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Um, plan for not being sedentary? Fuck... I don't know...The Rapture? Seems like a lot of trouble for just me, though.

Erika made me spit soup on my monitor.

I have planted some things today. Theoretically, there is dog walking and pruning in my future.
