Oh, no, ChiKat! I hope the car is working soon, and not expensively!
I just got done with my interview for my class this weekend. I had to interview a top manager at a large public library system, and I was able to contact the head of the Milwaukee one and set up some time to talk to her. We chatted for 75 minutes, and she gave me tons of info! And, I was able to help her out some (I asked her about diversity in the community, she said that she's been disappointed at the non-diversity in the pool of available professionals looking for jobs, and I told her about a service my local library has called the Language Line, where a librarian who has a patron he/she can't communicate with can call a service that has a translator available on the other end of the phone, and I gave her the library's phone number and name of the director there for her to call about the service). She seems like she'll be a great source if I need one in future classes, and maybe someone to contact after getting my degree when I'm job hunting!
Now I've got figure out how to whittle this down to a 10-minute presentation and pick one subject out for a 3-5 page paper.
