"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Paging liese! On All Things they talked about Native Americans at NAM. Did you hear it?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Here's a stupid question: The tip of my tongue has been hurting for almost two weeks. I thought I'd burned it on some homemade rice dish, but wouldn't it have healed enough to stop hurting by now?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

ZK, protip--stop with all the French kissing. Give the tongue a rest.

Uh, which is to say, I have no idea. Blister? Ulcer? My tongue is always sore at the sides, but I think it just doesn't fit right in my mouth.

Pharmacist was pissed about my pain meds, but hey! At least they dispensed them.

I was hit with a $1.20 bottle deposit for the can of frozen pineapple juice that I bought. That's a bit weird, no? It's not even a bottle. I'm pretty sure it's mostly cardboard.

giraffe mode

Very weird - it's not like you can return the cardboard tube.

Because books.

Pharmacist was pissed about my pain meds, but hey! At least they dispensed them.

What did he have to be pissed about?

That I was getting them again so soon, I think. She said something about dates and gestured angrily at the screen, and the woman serving me said "I know!" and rolled her eyes and took the meds.

Because books.

That's completely unprofessional.

Punishingly Intricate

My tongue is always sore at the sides, but I think it just doesn't fit right in my mouth.

I have that too! Not all the time but a lot.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I've had my tongue get sore because of an allergic reaction before. Not swell, but have spots that feel burnt on them. I think I stopped eating whatever it was and started taking magnesium.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My tongue is always sore at the sides,

That's one of the signs of Thrush.
