I'm going to see to Wesley, see if he's still whimpering.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Totally random question: This morning on the way to work, I saw someone riding a tandem bike by himself, and he was riding in the back.

If you had to ride a tandem bike by yourself for whatever reason, wouldn't you ride in front?

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

On a lighter note, have you ever felt your life would be complete if you owned a gold stump? [link]

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

On many small two-seat planes with one seat in front of another, if you're flying by yourself you sit in the back seat. I think this is done for center-of-gravity issues. No idea if that would apply to a tandem bike.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

On a tandem, the front does the steering and the back is where most of the power comes from, because of where the gears are situated. I think.

Punishingly Intricate

Was it Sophia looking for something to do with chicken thighs? This is my favorite chicken thigh recipe.

Not that you really need one. If it's a bone and skin having piece, roasting is the way to go.

Because books.

But it seems like on a tandem bike, the front wheel would be really wobbly if you were in the rear seat. If you're in the front, the rear wheel would get pulled along.

This was what I was thinking too.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Just got my bloodwork numbers back from the surgeon's office. My protein numbers are in the low end of normal, which is better than I'd expected considering that I have not been taking the protein shake that I'm supposed to so that my protein intake is around the 60 gram/day mark (it's currently around half that). Over the weekend, I had ordered some different flavors (and one unflavor) of protein powder to see if that'll get me to start drinking it.

And, my Vitamin D level is still really low, but also better than I'd expected because I forgot to get my prescription for that filled. About a year ago, that number was 8 (they want it in the 40s), and it's up to 21 now, even without the prescription-strength vitamins. But, I'm picking up the new scrip tonight, as well as getting some OTC vitamin D to supplement the scrip. They'll rerun the bloodwork at my 6-month appointment in May and see if everything looks better.
