We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Just got my bloodwork numbers back from the surgeon's office. My protein numbers are in the low end of normal, which is better than I'd expected considering that I have not been taking the protein shake that I'm supposed to so that my protein intake is around the 60 gram/day mark (it's currently around half that). Over the weekend, I had ordered some different flavors (and one unflavor) of protein powder to see if that'll get me to start drinking it.

And, my Vitamin D level is still really low, but also better than I'd expected because I forgot to get my prescription for that filled. About a year ago, that number was 8 (they want it in the 40s), and it's up to 21 now, even without the prescription-strength vitamins. But, I'm picking up the new scrip tonight, as well as getting some OTC vitamin D to supplement the scrip. They'll rerun the bloodwork at my 6-month appointment in May and see if everything looks better.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Most single-seat bikes have the rider's weight divided between the two wheels. On my bike you sit upright, so much more of your weight is on the back wheels. The steering did feel weird and sensitive when I bought it, but I got used to it.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm so sorry, although I know you lost your brother two months ago... it's always sudden.

Jesse said exactly what I wanted to. Amyth, I'm so sorry.

Well, it only took less than a month after my grandmother's death for certain family members to say shitty litigious things via Facebook. Nice.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Gaddafi gave another speech today. This one was long, rambling, and incoherent. One quote: "It's impossible for the youth to follow anyone else. If not Gaddafi, who else would they follow? Somebody with a beard?"

Because books.

I think I have a new tag. Thanks, Tom.

Coding and Sleeping

This one was long, rambling, and incoherent

Is there any other kind of Gaddafi speech?

not your mom's socks.

Friedman posted that Gaddafi is now trying to bore his people to death.

Eta. Even typing that made me uncomfortable.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

Gaddafi turning into a giant snake would, sadly, be less scary than what he's actually doing.

There is a sleeping puppy next to me, though. That helps a little.
