Angel: You know, I killed my actual dad. It was one of the first things I did when I became a vampire. Wesley: I hardly see how that's the same situation. Angel: Yeah. I didn't really think that one through.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, Jon!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Yes, I have a video component cable. Yes, I have audio cables. Yes, I have a number of short network cables.

It's the best kind of shopping - in your own house.

Jilli does this about once a week, I think. She wades into the room of petticoats and goes spelunking for treasure.

Oh my, I loved the church nursery SO much. I didn't work with the toddlers unless it was an understaff emergency. The pre-ones were where I wanted to be.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The last time I was officially assigned to watch toddlers I sprained my groin. I have ... associations.

Once I do my laundry (thanks again for the groupon tip, Kat!) I will be able to do this again. I also won't have space to store my clothes, I fear.

Amy, now you're making me feel guilty about my idea to WAFFLE AGAIN TOMORROW. Well, obviously not entirely guilty. But if you come put away all my stuff, I will make you all sorts of waffles.

Because books.

It just happened that way today, Bev. It's all one room. And we did have one eight-month-old who is a total love, but he is very focused on crawling around the room very fast and putting whatever he can in his mouth.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

I've been having reasonably good luck growing my own herbs indoors, so then they're quite cheap after the first month or so to recoup cost of potting soil. Seeds are less than a package of store-bought herbs and since i only use a few at a time a packet can last for years. Old yogurt containers with a few holes punched in the bottom make great herb planters. Sadly, the outdoor rosemary bush has not survived the winter. Not that i've pulled it out of the ground, there's always faint hope that the promise of spring will bring it back to life.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Happy birthday, Jon!!

Way to go at the pool with your mindset, Connie! I'm of the same one--yeah, I'm fat and I'm in a clingy swimsuit, so deal with it.

Speaking of, I have to get a hold of my swimming partner and see if she's up for an afternoon swim (she hasn't been feeling well this weekend). If not, I'm heading over there by myself in a little bit.

Oh, and as of this morning, I'm down 100.4 pounds.

Triple digits! Amazing, Kathy. I'm so pleased for you, and impressed by your diligence with the swimming, and learning new eating habits too.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Wow, Kathy, nice milestone. Congrats!

Y'all almost inspire me to actually go to the pool.
