"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Btw, my Francophile-cineaste, did you know that Henri-George Clouzot's Inferno (the documentary about his unfinished film with Romy Schneider) is playing at the Roxie.

I did not know. My movie focus has been almost entirely on Oscar watching.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Oscars vs. lost French art film? Prole!

Need I remind you that Crash won a few years ago?

Whoa, the Roxie is showing a triple bill of After School Specials. Fun!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

As an almost-overlooked last resort, I decided to check my cable bin before I did some online shopping. ::is sheepish:: Yes, I have a video component cable. Yes, I have audio cables. Yes, I have a number of short network cables.

And many other cables I can't identify.

So now all my peripherals are hooked up to the TV and to the network.

Where's a simple place to find the maximum resolutions transmitted by each sort of hookup (HDMI, DVI, component, etc)? I realise I've kinda been guessing.

Because books.

The nursery at church this morning wore me out. Five toddlers, one of whom wanted to be on my hip while I was walking around (no sitting!) at all times, and two diaper changes, since the very sweet college girl in there with me seemed to think I was more qualified.

I don't miss toddlers so much anymore. Today anyway.

And I had no waffles. I think it's time to pout.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Happy Birthday, Jon!

It's the best kind of shopping - in your own house.

Jilli does this about once a week, I think. She wades into the room of petticoats and goes spelunking for treasure.

Oh my, I loved the church nursery SO much. I didn't work with the toddlers unless it was an understaff emergency. The pre-ones were where I wanted to be.

The last time I was officially assigned to watch toddlers I sprained my groin. I have ... associations.

Jilli does this about once a week, I think. She wades into the room of petticoats and goes spelunking for treasure.

Once I do my laundry (thanks again for the groupon tip, Kat!) I will be able to do this again. I also won't have space to store my clothes, I fear.

Amy, now you're making me feel guilty about my idea to WAFFLE AGAIN TOMORROW. Well, obviously not entirely guilty. But if you come put away all my stuff, I will make you all sorts of waffles.

Because books.

It just happened that way today, Bev. It's all one room. And we did have one eight-month-old who is a total love, but he is very focused on crawling around the room very fast and putting whatever he can in his mouth.
