"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Awww, Sophia. I've hugged you and you smell good.

Giants win! Three more. Weirdass crazy game.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh man, Sophia, WHAT?

That is so insane, and sounds like it's way more her issues that yours. Whoa.

I wish I could just go somewhere to get flensed but none of the whaling ships near me take Medicare.

Had to skip the majority of Natter today. Was too busy in the outside world.

This was freaking amazing, though.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

Sophia, honestly? I'd go on the offensive: "I use unscented products because of scent sensitivities*, and I'm well familiar with personal hygiene so perhaps you are unused to natural odors and they are a trigger for you. Not much I can do about that without causing me significant discomfort. Hell, maybe it is incompatible pheremones!"

* = no matter if it is true or not.

Yeah, this was my thought as well.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I think this week's Criminal Minds is going to be a pig episode for me.

What, like the S4 finale?

I'm such a bad cat owner. I came home from work at 7:30, and instead of feeding her right away like I normally do, I went to the bathroom. Well, turns out I forgot to feed her after that, which I was just forcibly reminded of by Amarna tossing everything possible off of the coffee and dining room tables, while staring at me and meowing at full volume. This is Amarna-speak for "Feed me now, human!!!!!"

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

Sophia, have one of those dangly car freshener things in your hand when you get in the car and hand it to her "So you'll have something nice to smell" when you're in the car. Ask for it back so you can give it to her every time. Have a ziplock bag to keep it in between car rides.

Allyson, the neighbor was over before dinner last night, and saw the gathering of objects I have on the coffee table as Halloween decor, Sam among them, along with the glow-in-the-dark rubber bat Perkins sent me last Halloween. She glommed onto Sam, and I promised to let her read it next week, after I deconstruct the display. She has grandkids, so it's a sneaky pimp. Two people on my list are getting it as gifts.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am so excited for Sam, Allyson. I am getting him for my (sadly now former) student who is right in your demographic and crazy about bats. She is going to love him so much.

So, people, are you all going to send your names to Mars?
