I'd go on the offensive: "I use unscented products because of scent sensitivities*, and I'm well familiar with personal hygiene so perhaps you are unused to natural odors and they are a trigger for you. I'm such a bad cat owner. I came home from work at 7:30, and instead of feeding her right away like I normally do, I went to the bathroom. Well, turns out I forgot to feed her after that, which I was just forcibly reminded of by Amarna tossing everything possible off of the coffee and dining room tables, while staring at me and meowing at full volume. This is Amarna-speak for "Feed me now, human!!!!!"
