Because books.

I love to put things away. I'll come put stuff away at everyone's house.

I hate hate hate to clean the bathroom. Which is why S. does it. And I don't love dusting, either, but he won't do that, or at least not as well as I want it done.

Happy happy, Bev! I'll eat some cake in your honor.

That's $2400 coming back my way.

That's an excellent motivation for getting that chore done.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh yeah! Happy birthday, Beverly!!

I hate the laundry most. But I'm not super crazy about any cleaning-type chores.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Oh wow, is it Beverly's birthday? Happy birthday, Beverly!

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Happy birthday, Bev!

I hate putting stuff away. Come visit, Amy. It's funny, my sister hates cooking, but cleans up like a champ. She won't let dishes sit overnight, even if it's not her house.

Cookies are in the oven, pound cake is cooling with glaze. Dishwasher is emptied, restacked, some dishes done. Apartment's still a mess, no errands run, and I haven't had breakfast yet.

I'm kinda waiting on the pound cake to get cool enough to eat.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

I loathe cleaning the bathroom (as mentioned), but since Tim picks up dog poops in the backyard and cleans the litterboxes (which I can't really do b/c the litter dust aggravates my asthma big time), I feel like cleaning the human bathroom is only fair. Meh.

What's your most hated chore?

Ironing.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

All my chores are the most hated. Which is why I put them in my outlook calendar so when I skip them, they show up in RED letters and hound me until they get done.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

That's an excellent motivation for getting that chore done.

Last year I faxed all my stuff in on the last day and they DIDN'T GET IT, so I lost all that money. Not letting that happen this year. Will be printing a fax confirmation and calling them if I don't hear something in a week.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

That sounds like equitable division of parenting icks, Steph. H took care of vomit, we split fevers, I did poop, diarrhea, splinters, broken bones, knocked out teeth, general blood, and psyhological counseling. And happily accepted that division.

Thanks for the good wishes. I had a lovely dinner out last night, and two hilarious cards from H, several pretty ones from friends. And the breakfront in the dining room is nearly finished (!) and I got the last framed art hung in my office (chores and tasks done count as presents). I'm a lucky girl.

Compassionately intolerant

What's your most hated chore? Mine's vacuuming. I will procrastinate by scrubbing toilets and doing laundry, re-orging closets, or even dusting so I don't get around to vacuuming. Second hated: scrubbing the tub or shower.

Floors in general are my nemeses. Not sure why.

Like Amy, I'll put anything away. Sorting and organizing is actually relaxing to me. It is my go-to procrastination.

Friends will actually comment on the order in my closet. If I could alphabetize my clothes, I would.

But the floors...ugh.
