I have escaped from the bay area to LA, where it is sunny for the moment. There will be museums and food and I will try not to bitch about my employers, who have decided I should make no more as a contractor, despite having much poorer benefits.

Ha! When I put blueberries on my cereal this morning, I said to myself "I should make lemon cornmeal blueberry pancakes tomorrow." I had no idea the power of ita was compelling me when I thought that.

JZ went up to do some overtime at work. Matilda and I are watching Fleischer Bros. cartoons which range from the most scandalous Betty Boop, to the utterly loopy "Bimbo's Initiation" ("Wanna be a member! Wanna be a member!") to the very sweet Raggedy Ann and Andy cartoon.
I'm about to get started on the cookies (haven't decided if they'll be raisin oatmeal or cranberry oatmeal), I think.
God, I hate cleanup. I haven't even emptied the washing machine from yesterday.
