Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Have an awesome time, meara!

I have Monday off, so I am planning on making it my laundry and home improvement day. I have two pieces of furniture from Ikea that need to be put together, and so far the house elves have been falling down on the job.

Peru would be exciting!

I have Monday off, because it's my earned day off, not a holiday.

It's for work, so I'll be busy, but at the same time, I'm also not paying for it, and someone who lives there is arranging my taxis and stuff. ...though I am worried about my level of Spanish (especially medical spanish) not being up to it. Fingers crossed!

So cool for Peru!!

I'm pricing out airfare for Vegas to see my sister and her family at the end of April, and the cheapest I'm finding so far from Chicago to there is $450 on American. Yikes! I have to wait for my mom to schedule her foot surgery, also in April, but if it's when we're hoping she can fit it in, that flight to Philly will be only $300.

It's Friday! What are people doing this weekend, and how many people have a three day weekend?

I have a zero-day weekend.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I have a three day weekend, but it`s kinda inconsequential as I have not had a week. I am feeling somewhat better today though. I wonder what it is about being sick that makes you so dumb? I hate that brain muzzy feeling. Anyway, I still have some other symptoms, but that seems to be gone. Maybe it was tied to the fever? It made me clumsy. I had two major drink dumping incidents, on which took out the tivo remote and one which took out my phone, Nook, laptop, my slippers and projector remote. Everything is back to par now, except I still have the projector remote drying. Oh, I broke my mug from our home church back in Kansas. Woes. But I have two others. And I bent the Nook cable flailing ineffectually at it to get it out of the way. But it`s fortunately a generic usb, so I have others.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I'll be working at the airport...again.

The insomnia fairy visited me last night so work tonight should be fun.

Presidents' Week?

Technically mid-winter break, but locally known as "ski week."

Ugh, we had an experimental "ski week" last year, it wasn't too awful for us because the kids were in middle/high school, but it was still a pain in the ass. The working parents with elementary school kids hated it. Thankfully it was only last year.

Both kids and my husband are off on Monday, but sadly I have to work. At least traffic will be light.

This weekend we were planning on taking out the last bits of personal stuff on the boat, in order to put it up for sale but it looks like it's gonna rain all weekend which will make that hard to do - it's a long walk up the dock and to the parking garage - we'll be soaked after the first load.
