Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, loved the results of Westminster. A friend told me that when she realized we had a non-American judge that there might be some surprises. Wonder what he'll do at Crufts?

Got my iphone last night and was setting it up but then. . .I had to log into my wireless network.. .. guess what I couldn't remember?

Yep. Spent much time last night dealing with that and almost missed Sporting Group!

Today: doctors appts in the AM. I have my brace back - so I have the brace and my hiking boot on my right foot and a regular shoe on my left. I really need to find shoes that work with this thing. It's extremely uncomfortable.

Always Anti-fascist!

I saw that about the Packers...right on, Packers. Ok, well, I guess I am playing a bit on the same stereotype of union members as the gov. is,(scary, blue-collar tough guys. But they say that like it's a bad thing) but in some places people are talking smack about firefighters, too, so I wasn't sure. But some union members look like my mom. Although my mom could and would kick Governor Walker's ass. She said he looks like the guy at the bar who likes to pretend he's six feet tall than won't dance with her cause she's 5'9''. But seriously, does Ed Schultz really have to yell so much? he knows he has a microphone, right?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Kat, I think you're supposed to be filming Noah for YouTube. That's modern post-dentist parenting, right?

Yes. Then you get to go on the Ellen show.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Hmm... I'm doing the big and second-littlest. We should talk!

Trudy: Found the x-rays of my feet, pre- and post-op! Frankenstein feet.

Too bad about Borders, but I go to B&N most often. Sorry, Borders.

They look too much alike. I was always pulling out the wrong coupons/offer cards.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

the unions are out there in the demonstrations. As are the Packers.

Yay! I guess I have a NFL team of which to be a fan. (What? It's not like I was getting any joy following the Lions.)

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

An interesting profile on Grant Achatz, chef at Alinea, considered the best restaurant in the US. I didn't know he's got a new place opening in Fulton Market (they've already got a waiting list of 15,000 people to get tickets, not reservations).

NFL Players' Association weighs in:

The NFLPA also released a statement in support of the AFL-CIO. “The NFL Players Association will always support efforts protecting a worker’s right to join a union and collectively bargain.
