Because books.

I'm kinda a bad mom.

Totally not. She's little, and at that age they're going to do what they're going to do. It might be tons of fun for her. And the other kids are going to be too little to be a real contact danger (in terms of playing hard).

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Oh, I don't think I have the time.

I was going to scar your children in service of a cracky scavenger hunt for which I don't have the entrance criterion. I just think it's funny to consider how I'd get each done. And then laugh as fans get hysterical over it.

The rhino pic would be easy -- Wild Animal Park!

I don't even think Noah would care about the cranberries. Plus tomorrow he'll be sedated for dental care. So, you know, there's your window.

But I'm not cleaning it up.

But we do have a ball pit.

I love the idea that I could borrow your sedated son to amuse Misha Collins. I'd love to horrify him and tell him I chloroformed him and stole a kid for the pic.

They're very elastic at this point. They should earn their keep by being amusing, but with a cap on the amount of mess they cause.

We had to discuss site redesign at work today, and as far as I could tell, it would result in a loss of functionality. I pouted until they included a "revert to classic" option, to be called "revert to ita."

Why change, people? Why? Not today! Not this month! You're not doing it right. And fuck I need to finish testing so I can roll shit out in three weeks.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

you two are funny.

I should be grading. You know what I did today instead of grading? Made a birthday cake for my husband.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

One of the advantages of being unemployed is having the time to eat out. So I texted my friend E and we went out for drinks, which was really dinner at this great little bistro nearby. I had a flight of wine and broccoli with chili flakes, and orochiette with rabbit. NOM.

Of course, as an unemployed person I shouldn't have done that. But I hadn't spoken to a not-retail person since 6:30 AM. I deserved something.
