I think The Randomizer would get different superpowers at random times.

There are a million stories in that idea alone.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Also, The Randomizer could randomly mess with people's memories. Like your memory of eating at McDonnalds for lunch yesterday would be replaced with a memory of killing and eating an ostrich.

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Personally, I think that's where missing socks go.

I think javachik has established that missing socks are buried in her garden.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

Hm, according to Wikipedia, famous alumni from my high school: Gene Pitney (music guy in the 50s and 60s), Bill Romanowski (former football dude, which I vaguely remember knowing at the time), and Mark Warner, former Governor and current Senator for Virgina!

Also Charles Ethan Porter, an African American still life painter.

Black people in Vernon? And in the late 19th century!? I am surprised.

My college has a lot of famous people though. Spaulding Gray, Jennifer Coolidge, David Cross, Dennis Leary, Norman Lear, Henry Winkler (who spoke at my college commencement!)...

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, duh. Wikipedia reminds me that I actually forgot the one famousish person I actually knew, Peter Mulvey.

I should have assumed that my high school would have spawn a lot of sports folk. One of whom was part of a major doping scandal. Yeah, that sounds about right.

information libertarian

I watched the Jeopardy last night and we watched the PBS special ahead of time, too. One thing we noticed it that Watson did well on the $200 questions but struggled more on the high-money questions. (Notice he went down the board by $ amount, not closing out categories like people tend to do.) One thing that fascinated me is Watson sucked at the "which decades" questions - which were really fact-based, and should have been easier for him than, for example, funny APBs for literary characters. Wonder where the glitch was there.

Also, Alex Trebek is getting old.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Famous persons from my high school -- a couple of semi-famous athletes, and a HUD secretary for less than a year.

My colleges have many more famous people. You can put together quite a list based on UNC basketball alone. And a president (James K. Polk from UNC).

Some famous alumni generate less pride (Newt Gingrich from Tulane).
