Zoe: Nobody's saying that, sir. Wash: Yeah, we're pretty much just giving each other significant glances and laughing incessantly.

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

ZOMG, graded solid from 8:30 am to just now. 1:11 am my time.

I haven't even TOUCHED lesson plans; I will make Some Pedantic Shit Up tomorrow.

UGH UGH UGH. Must sleep so. SO had no weekend. I did not do anything fun, or leave the house once.

My darling husband did chore; have I gotten him a V-Day present yet? No, no I have not. After work tomorrow, I swear.

I know I should drop into bed now, but I need to wind down for a little bit.

God, my back hurts. I HATE our shitty, shallow tub. I miss my old deep tub.

(My diamond shoes pinch. I have a job and a house. But...TUB! Hot water to my chin, I LONG for thee!)

This is me.

And...am up! With a very strong latte at my elbow.

Today is going to be a reading day in two of my classes, and writing lab in the other, as I have no plans and am far too exhausted to pull some fancy BS outta my ass.

OMG, I can see my dimly lit bedroom from my chair....the pull...is...magnetic. NO!

Caffeine.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

So it turns out that pertussis has been going around the school and has been breaking out in our county in "epidemic" levels. Fan-fucking-tastic. Doctor's office opens in 20 minutes.

Grace tested positive for MRSA when they swabbed her at her last admission. She has been in a hospital since....maybe 18 months prior to discharge from TK. So I don't know. She has no symptoms.

Last surgery they wanted her to share a room and I was like, "Nope. Can't do. She's contact isolation for MRSA" so it was a sort of blessing.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

My DH has left for China and the nanny just called to say my daughter has 102 degree fever.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Blargh, sickies! I appear to have joined your ranks, thanks to the band leader, who I was lecturing because he was singing while sick. And this is why, people!

I'm not that bad, but his was miserable, and sounds like K's because he's had it for weeks. I am feeling mostly ok, but notably sick, but I am staying home preemptively today.

Yikes. Sparky, I hope she feels better soon (and I remember last year; I hope there is no snowpocalypse this time either).

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Yikes! I'm not going to lie, the thought of both pertussis and MRSA freaks me out.
