I'll just jump in my time machine, go back to the twelfth century, and ask the vampires to postpone their ancient prophesy for a few days while you take in dinner and a show.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I may be going to my flying club to wash planes. Otherwise, I'll do a belated switchover in my filing cabinet to 2011, shred the 2003 papers, get stuff around for my meeting with my CPA next week, and read Commencement for next week's book group.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I think after you've passed the 12-hour mark (like, if you take your meds at 6 a.m. and it's after 6 p.m.), then don't take it. But I personally will take my Wellbutrin late, but I am cavalier about drugs. If you wait until tomorrow, you're fine. Totally.

Celexa's pretty flexible with the timing, I've found. I think I'll skip it tonight and med up as usual in the morning.

Compassionately intolerant

Happy Kissaversary Steph and Tim. Yay happiness.

This weekend, I'm supposed to co-facilitate a singles game night but I don't think we made our goal participant-wise.

Other than that, I have nothing planned. I suppose I should do great things with the time available.

What are people doing this weekend?

Working at the airport...again. I will try to watch Supernatural tonight.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

Tim is going on his annual we're-insane-so-we-camp-in-February-in-the-Midwest camping trip,

Hee. The bug has bitten both of our SO's. Mine is on his now. He came back midday all hopped up from canoe fishing with his buddies and hearing the ice creak, and needing supplies like, oh, say, firewood. But he's really happy to be outdoors. I think he's crazy, but I admire his toughness. I like the outdoors like anybody else, but I like it to not have such high odds on offing me.

To be fair, they're camping 3 hours south in Kentucky, and it's actually going to be a high in the mid-40s tomorrow and low 50s Sunday. That's actually not bad weather if you're energetically hiking and such.

One year they went and it got down to 10 degrees at night. TEN. They're insane. But they go in February deliberately because the park is basically empty then (read: no drunk rednecks shooting guns at random).

Punishingly Intricate

I am watching a crazzzzy what not to wear right now and drinking glass of wine and I have a kitty on my lap. Tomorrow spinning and yoga and dinner at friends. Sunday is bike swap where hopefully bob will get a bike and friends over for dinner.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, high's in the 40's today, 50's tomorrow. But it'll still get down to about 17 tonight, 25 tomorrow night.

The SO says that he likes it because the bears, snakes, and bugs are all asleep, and the crowds are at home. I would much rather swat a few mosquitoes than sleep in 17 degree weather. But he's anxious to try out some of his nifty new cold weather gear, so more power to him!

We have the same SO. Eerie.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

With all these SOs away, there should be a Buffistas slumber party.

I am doing precisely nothing this weekend.

Today was a royal bust--I called in actually sick halfway through the day, but my boss kept calling me anyway. It's not just my head, my stomach is up in arms. Really, really, bad. And as a result, I plowed through my pain meds, so I'm SOL until Monday for those. I fucking hate this.

But I can barely move. Or talk. Typing not fun.
