Was it too soft? It doesn't have a really strong flavor for a frittata.
Well, previously I was using potatoes, a little pepper and onion (came with the potatoes), and broccoli and cauliflower. I think part of it was that the stuff I used this time was unseasoned, so it was a little more bland (and I forgot to put in the paprika! I used squash and a different broccoli/cauliflower mix). I should've used the asparagus I bought, it's true.
Oops. I thought the insulation installation was done yesterday, so i slept in. Nay, i reveled in my clean sheets and squeaky clean bedroom. I woke up repeatedly throughout the morning and told my brain to shove it and went back to sleep.
When i finally got up at 9:45...turns out the insulation guys have been waiting on my front porch since 9am. They still have three more days of work to do in the attic. *gulp* Ooops. Sorry about that. Cats locked up in the guest room today for i do not wish to wash my sheets AGAIN after three more days of terrified Nico burrowed in my bed.
I think today's lunch is just going to be a hotdog. I'm getting a bit tired of grilled chicken with salsa (my fallback at the cafeteria when nothing else appeals).
Mubarak kept saying he wanted to die and and be buried in Egypt. I guess when the prospect became immediate he changed his mind.
When he made that statement, it sounded to me like a dare. Seriously. And I expected him to be taken out -- as in killed, not escorted to the door -- before the weekend was over.
I guess even a delusional dictator can exhibit common sense once in a while.
Big changes in Egypt, scary and exciting.
I think the interview went well. I think the pay will be low and the hours longer than I want, but the company would be good for me long-term.
Interesting - the news this morning was saying that the military had stated they were in support of Mubarak.
There's a huge difference between the military high command and the rank-and-file. There's compulsory conscription, you know.
Suddenly I'm wondering what Fay is thinking.
Aww, erin. Bummer. But you will appreciate and enjoy that extra insulation when it's done!
I was just thinking about your project, and wishing I could insulate the attic roof, making the interior space not heated, exactly, but treated. I would do a radiant barrier, and then I would love to do foam. And I would love to insulate the crawlspace too. But it will have to wait until I have money at some point in the undefinable future.
Yay on good interviewing, msbelle!
Lunch ended up being blackened catfish--a much better option than a hotdog.
ETA: And the cash register lady told me that she charged me too much yesterday for the little bit of food I had, so she gave me my cranberry juice for free!
Suddenly I'm wondering what Fay is thinking.
She posted a brief comment on FaceBook. Nothing in depth, mind you, but happily triumphant.
