"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

According to the radio (MSNBC), the military went to Mubarak last night and told him it was over. As in, if he didn't step down, soldiers were going to start donning civilian clothes and join the protesters.

Interesting - the news this morning was saying that the military had stated they were in support of Mubarak.

So which is it?

hip deep in pie

So which is it?

Would it help that the CBC were talking about a split in the military this AM?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Your Sex Questions Answered (Jan, 1959)

I have a feeling that in the 1950s Sexology was one of the few places people could get reasonable, non-judgmental, fact-based help about sexual issues.

This is sad:

I can't have any children because I had an operation when I was 29 years old and everything was removed except my womb. The doctors said it was a healthy organ and since I was still comparatively young, he would leave it in.

I have heard that doctors are replacing missing organs with plastic or some synthetic materials, and that they do function as before. If this is true please advise me as to where I can secure the vital information concerning such an operation.

I think "support" might be overstating it. There was a statement yesterday supporting the delegation of power to Suleiman, when people were hoping they'd explicitly back the protesters at that point. I think officially they tried to be restrained because, well, not everyone agreed -- there were some officers joining the protesters, and I assume others were personally backing Mubarak.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Oh god, wine coolers. I'm right there with the high school flashbacks. And the nausea.

Does anyone remember Matilda Bay?

'Cause I sure as heck don't.

Always Anti-fascist!

Wow, Fred, that's heavy. continuing -ma for Egypt.

Mubarak is too brown for today's GOP, but being a cranky old militarist stuck in the past...well, I hear Kyl isn't running again. HM and John McCain should get together and go bowling/yelling at clouds. ION, the Treme soundtrack may be the Best CD In The world

Hrmph. I've gotten in the habit of making a fritata for my weekend breakfasts, the past couple weeks. If I make it Thursday night, I can eat it Fri/Sat/Sun. And the last couple I made were super yum. But the one I made last night? Not amazing. I thought butternut squash would be awesome! And it's...not.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I thought butternut squash would be awesome! And it's...not.

Was it too soft? It doesn't have a really strong flavor for a frittata.

I try to use stronger flavored vegetables which will contrast with the mellow egginess. So I do asparagus a lot. Roasted peppers. Strong cheeses.
