In LA I was never able to find a sliver of space in the FM spectrum to use a radio adapter in. Cassette adapter all the way.

yeah, it was hard in DC, too. especially since it was digital and moved by .2 instead of .1

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am still waiting impatiently for a 128 GB or larger iPod Touch. I love my iPod Touch, but I also love being able to carry my entire music collection with me. I have an iPod Classic that had all my music on it, but its HD died. Maybe I'll get that fixed....

Coding and Sleeping

Though it looks better and provides better ergonomics I am sort of sad to see the days of easily replaceable car stereos going away. At least factory units are starting to have USB ports.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

hit Play on a movie or TV show and listen to it

You can do that with even my classic kinda old iPod too.

Which is almost at capacity for me--I'm trying to decide if I should get an iPod classic and go for the big guns with storage, or I should go iTouch. I'm not concerned about the apps, but I do like the much nicer screen for video viewing.

I'm not very big into apps myself (except skeeball). The screen really is great for video viewing. And I'm surprised at how enjoyable surfing the intertubes is on it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I only have almost 32GB of music. It's video that puts it over the top.

I have about 120GB of music, and somewhere around 150-200GB of video. Which reminds me - I need a bigger HD for my MacBook Pro.

I don't like the idea of my music being only on a computer drive, I want a CD as backup. Which means, I suppose, burning stuff to CDs when they decide to stop producing CDs with music already on them.

Vatican Bans IOS Confession App

"Despite all the hype that a lowly priest had approved the new confessional app hitting the app store, the truth has now revealed itself. According to today's Daily Mail, a spokesman for the Vatican, Federico Lombardi said: 'It is essential to understand that the rites of penance require a personal dialogue between penitents and their confessor. It cannot be replaced by a computer application. I must stress to avoid all ambiguity, under no circumstance is it possible to confess by iPhone."

That's why I love my Time Capsule - it does automatic backups of my Mac laptops when I'm home. But it just occurred to me - I should probably have some offsite backup as well, in case my apartment burns down or something.
