I caught her on a park bench, making out with a *chaos* demon! Have you ever seen a chaos demon? They're all slime and antlers.

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Happy birthday, Suzi! K-Bug is clearly a genius birthday-care-package-putter-togetherer.

And soothing vibes to Kathy's stomach.

There's a doctor in the Bay Area named Burton Fink who's been practicing for decades, but until I mentioned it sometime in the early aughties, he had never had any notion of the existence of Barton Fink. I mean, granted, the Coen Brothers aren't James Cameron in terms of blockbuster name recognition, but not one person who'd ever met him since 1991 had ever so much as passed it on a video store shelf?

Someone in the lab just brought in a stack of pizzas and a cheesecake, because his wife manages a CPK and sometimes sends him in with treats for everyone. New place: a great office, or the BEST office? May need more cheesecake in order to render an informed decision.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

I think it wins for the BEST, JZ.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

He kept saying, "It's Birnam Wood," but no laughed.

HOW COULD THEY NOT!?!?!

Errr...I don't get it either.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

MACBETH, you sillies. Birnam Woods rides on him and the prophecy and shit.

I never know actual legit references that other people don't.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

"Macbeth shall never vanquished be until

Great Birnam wood to high Dunsinane hill

Shall come against him."

- William Shakespeare, Macbeth, 4.1

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I would like pizza and cheesecake at work! We keep meaning to get pizza, so should really do that. There will still be no cheesecake, sadly.

Hot water was out in the lockeroom. Sigh. It's been a day. But moderately better than my friend's, I guess. As I was leaving this am, I heard the phone ring, but I had already locked the door and probably just a poll, anyway, right? Nope. Turns out it was K, seeing if I could give her a ride to work. Her car wouldn't start.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

Thanks again for all the b-day wishes. I worked a half day, got a 90 minute massage (the 30 extra minutes were a gift from my therapist), stopped by my doctor's office to get blood drawn and schedule my mammogram, and, if CJ ever finishes his homework, we are going out for sushi.

Mostly fun pampering stuff with a side of taking care of myself. I love my doctor's suggestion of always scheduling my mammo around my birthday. Easier to remember. And I get it over with tomorrow! So - anyone else due for a mammo? Go schedule it in honor of my birthday.

And I LOVE JZ's new workplace.
