I really don't understand people getting that worked up about sports, when they are not playing or personally know the players. I guess it's like getting emotionally involved in a book, or film, or tv show or whatever but it's something I can't imagine feeling. I'm not judging at all! It's just interesting to me.
Although I am happy when my town's teams win stuff.
This is where I tell my tale of my dad catching a rattler and demonstrating its venom injecting capabilities into a cup, up at Blue Mesa. My mother was aghast. My brother and I found it fascinating. It was the cool season, so I guess that's how he caught it. Man, I can't believe that observatory is no more. I loved that place. Cocoa on observing nights drunk out on the catwalk, getting to join Dad for observing runs in sleepingbags on the observatory floor, but waking up after being carried down to the housing bunks, to hot orange Tang and cocoa at breakfast. Hurricane oil lamps for when you shut down the diesel generator.
Several years, we did easter up there. It wasn't the easter bunny, it was the easter cottontail rabbit, and there were plenty up there.
I loved it.
Oh, heck, I missed a new Justified promo? They better put it up on the web, pronto.
When does Justified come back? I need some Raylon.
Oh, thank heavens for whomever taught Matilda to not poke snakes. And thank heavens she found it with her eyes or ears rather than her feet.
Justified comes back Tuesday. Woot!
Oh, thank heavens for whomever taught Matilda to not poke snakes. And thank heavens she found it with her eyes or ears rather than her feet.
What Windsparrow said, and also {{{JZ}}}.
I just rewound and watched the promo again. Because I could.
Ahhh, tell it it to Cleveland, you babies. They haven't won a championship in any sport since 1948.
And yet we love our team enough to fight, and fight hard for it.
that was in response to tommy's "Yay!" immediately after you announced Cleveland's sad multigenerational championship curse.
My 'Yay!' was in response to Green Bay wining.
