They do not allow for snow days in the calendar, so unless they get an exemption from the state for some or all of the days, we have to make them up.
They have 2, the Observer seems to think they won't have trouble getting a waiver, but who knows. My teacher friends are about to lose their minds.
Okay, so I just tried Off the Map for the first time. Four minutes in, they lost me.
I just wish the dialogue was less clunky and filled with stereotypes. I really love the cast, so I want to like the show.
I love Parenthood! Watching yesterday's episode now.
Is that because of the writing, or your brain protecting you?
I have to admit, I didn't try real hard, in case there was going to be nudity. But I can't even tell if it's worth forwarding to him.
The woman who plays Christina is super impressive. Too bad if it ever gets nominated for actress awards Bonnie Bedelia and Lauren Graham will likely be the focus. I think Mae Whitman and Monica Potter do some pretty heavy lifting.

If one knows anything about ANYTHING related to first aid or medicine or being in a foreign country, it's pretty annoying. Plus, clunky dialogue. I told Calli we should have a watch-n-bitch.

I was noticing that Christina and Haddie have the exact same speech pattern when they're upset -- talk really fast, high pitch, "like" in between every other word, and starting about five sentences before deciding which one to finish. They've got a lot of the same body movements, too. There are some similar between Sarah and Amber, too. I thought that was really nicely done. They also do a really good job of having all of their characters be actual characters, even the little kids. (Well, Sydney more than Jabbar. Jabbar so far has mostly just been generic kid, which has been annoying me since Sydney is given a lot character.)
Parenthood is in a similar zone to FNL for me - really good but I often delay watching because it's almost too emotionally involving.

I would totally do that via hulu.

These two actresses are so good at being each other that it sometimes pulls me right out of the story because I'm so awe struck by their skill.
The dialogue soup whenever Adam's family on screen is the best.
