Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

The woman who plays Christina is super impressive. Too bad if it ever gets nominated for actress awards Bonnie Bedelia and Lauren Graham will likely be the focus. I think Mae Whitman and Monica Potter do some pretty heavy lifting.

I was noticing that Christina and Haddie have the exact same speech pattern when they're upset -- talk really fast, high pitch, "like" in between every other word, and starting about five sentences before deciding which one to finish. They've got a lot of the same body movements, too. There are some similar between Sarah and Amber, too. I thought that was really nicely done. They also do a really good job of having all of their characters be actual characters, even the little kids. (Well, Sydney more than Jabbar. Jabbar so far has mostly just been generic kid, which has been annoying me since Sydney is given a lot character.)

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Parenthood is in a similar zone to FNL for me - really good but I often delay watching because it's almost too emotionally involving.

Compassionately intolerant

I told Calli we should have a watch-n-bitch.

I would totally do that via hulu.

These two actresses are so good at being each other that it sometimes pulls me right out of the story because I'm so awe struck by their skill.

The dialogue soup whenever Adam's family on screen is the best.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

really good but I often delay watching because it's almost too emotionally involving.

yeah, I usually have to wait until I don't have many people around because some part is either going to have me stifling laughter or tears.

Last season's Haddie & the mean girls vs. Amber about killed me. Not only has something similar happened to me, but it's a recurring nightmare from which I usually wake up bawling.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh cat. Why not move off the couch before puking?? At least I've recently put a white blanket on it, so I can just bleach it out, but still.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Jubilation! Also, I'm down on my knees!

Teppy, have you seen this tumblr?

No! That is EXCELLENT!

Unrelatedly, I am wearing these socks, and they, too, are awesome.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Matilda has today and tomorrow off for Chinese New Year and State Furlough. So we walked in the neighborhood in the morning, collected Emmett from school at 1:30 and drove back to Japantown where we goofed off and ate frozen yogurt and such.

Then loaded up on Pocky (with special treats for Matilda's teachers) and are now back.

I'm a little fried from all day wrangling and wondering if I should take her to see Gnomeo and Juliet tomorrow. It doesn't really look all that good. But it would be an outing

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

UR DOING CHINESE NEW YEAR WRONG

It's going to be crazy busy in Chinatown tonight! Besides there's no parking.
