I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I went out, ran 6 errands and made it home safely. Only time I really slid was making the turn back into my driveway. YAY! And now we have donuts for tomorrow, and Boston Market for tonight and I have SOcial Network to watch and meds for tomorrow. The cats have food and I bought mac a scoop of his favorite ice cream. Also, it was enough outside to keep me from going stircrazy.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

Well, it sounds as though the contracting thing for my job is under way. They tell me I'll probably be out of work for about two weeks. But still, what a clusterfuck.

And I feel a little like they're making all this effort because they like me personally, not because it's the professional thing to do. Which means, so the guy who get let go, they just didn't like him? Yoiks.

And the Big Boss wants to go climbing with me while I'm off, which just... errrgh. He's like, t counts fingers four levels senior to me. Makes me twitchy.

Anyway. Now I'ma delete most of my bookmarks and purge my personal folders. Unfortunately I cannot delete the history on this machine so if someone really wants to look, I'm screwed.

They have already cancelled school for tomorrow. 4 snow days in Texas is unheard of! They do not allow for snow days in the calendar, so unless they get an exemption from the state for some or all of the days, we have to make them up.

I think I will go finish a home improvement project so I can post pictures of my handy DIYishness.

Compassionately intolerant

Okay, so I just tried Off the Map for the first time. Four minutes in, they lost me.

A show set on a tropical beach which features a stingray injury and immediately misidentify where, on the ray's body, the horn resides. Plus, the horn they showed taped to the end of the ray's tail was roughly 10 times longer than that creature could possibly have.

Details people. They are not that hard. Plus, if you just wanted to spurt blood all over your cast, you could have chosen a different type of injury!

Feh.

They have 2, the Observer seems to think they won't have trouble getting a waiver, but who knows. My teacher friends are about to lose their minds.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Okay, so I just tried Off the Map for the first time. Four minutes in, they lost me.

I just wish the dialogue was less clunky and filled with stereotypes. I really love the cast, so I want to like the show.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Is that because of the writing, or your brain protecting you?

I have to admit, I didn't try real hard, in case there was going to be nudity. But I can't even tell if it's worth forwarding to him.
