I can't have any carbonation now, supposedly because of the way the carbonated drinks fill up the stomach more than regular water would. I don't know if I believe that or not, but I haven't had any since Thanksgiving, just in case. Considering I was a Diet Coke fiend, I'm surprised I'm doing as well as I am quitting it cold turkey.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Yeah, I'm seriously fighting hitting the "checkout" button on a soda stream. My completely sorta-specious reasoning is that since I'm working from home I'm drinking way more fizzywater.

Actually, that's my totally serious reasoning. The specious reasoning is "that makes it almost kinda like a business expense! Pay no attention to the bank balance behind the curtain!!"

I'm working from home again today. And I'm getting hungry again. I think roasted red potatoes are in my future.

Chicagoistas, I totes just bought today's LivingSocial deal for Viceroy of India, so we should go eat there sometime soon.

Damn, it's the acid burn that I like. Hm, I wonder if there's a good diet ginger ale I can look into.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The clementines I just bought went bad really quickly. And they were small and not very tasty. This will be my excuse, I think, for venturing into a Fresh and Easy.

Diet Vernor's, if you can find it around you, Connie. Otherwise, I think the brand name is Reed's, Dr. Reed's? Something like that. Very bitey. Don't know if they do it in diet, though.

OMG. Vernor's is not ginger ale. I can't believe you're making me say that.

Random androgyny.

"already on the kiss-cam with Karl Marx"-

Kathy, ha...wouldn't it be funny if it was really him? Nobody would really expect it to be, and he'd have a safety valve AND get to have the above-the fray tweets at the same time. Not to mention all the speculation and publicity from the "faker" But it's probably just Joe Klein. Again. (of course, in my head, we finance Buffista Island when they pay for the rights to "I'm running for mayor *right now* and it's fucking great!"

shrift, I bought one of those, too--we should definitely have a meet-up there. BTW, this was the first one I'd bought. Do I have to print out anything, or will they email me the info?
